Report your INE statistics
In Spain, campsites are required to submit data to the National Statistics Institute (INE) on a monthly basis. This data collection is part of the Encuesta de Ocupación en Campings (Campsite Occupancy Survey), which tracks tourism activity across the country.
Key Requirements for Submission
Frequency: Data must be submitted every month, typically during the first five working days of the month following the reference period.
Data Requested: Campsites must report on both supply (number of open plots, bungalows, and staff) and demand (number of travelers checked in and total overnight stays, categorized by the guests’ country of residence or Spanish autonomous community).
Method of Submission: Most establishments use the ARCE system (an online platform provided by the INE) for digital submission, though XML file transfers or web forms are also common.

Activate the reports
To activate your reports go to settings -> Reports -> Data validation. Here you are able to select your country to check what reports there are available for you. Select Spain and click on the activate button on the left.
Administration fields
Once you activated the report, click edit to fill in the required fields. These fields are required on campsite / administration level. For INE we need the following fields:
Legal name: The legal name of your campsite, the one that is known by the government.
Street + Street number: The address of your campsite.
Campsite NIF: The NIF number from Agencia Tributaria
Local Authority as stated by Ine: (Municipio) this would be the actual name, not the code of the Municipio: Download the actual list of ine Communities
State of the campsite: (Province) this would be the actual name, not the code of the Province: Download the actual list of ine Provinces
Main traveler (contact) fields
Also on reservation / guest level the zipcode и country are required for INE. Make sure, you gather this information for each main traveler, in each reservation.
Setup your fields in the guest page
To make sure you are able to collect your information very easy. Add these fields as ‘Required’ on the guest page. When you do this, the guest can do the online checkin, fill in all the data so he/she doesn’t have to do it at the reception.
To setup these fields go to Settings -> Guests -> Form setup. Make sure guest page is selected. Add the country and zipcode fields. Make sure they are required by clicking the star icon. If the icon is red the guest is required to fill in the field.
Send reminders to your guests for missing data
Our system checks multiple times a day if there are future reservations where the required data is missing. When not all the data is complete, it will save the error messages within the reservation. This way you are also able to check in a workflow if there is data missing.
Go to workflows and create a new (Or edit an existing) workflow. Hit the ➕ icon and select condition. Then select ‘Check Online Checkin’. In the second box select the reports you want to be checked. In this cast the INE stats.
The workflow will pass this condition only is there are known errors on a reservation at that given time. The next thing you can do is send the guest an e-mail with the request to complete the online checkin via the guest page.
Check missing data in your backoffice
To check all the missing data. Go to reports -> guests and install the INE Spain report. select the requested month
Бакшиш: If you want to select a specific period. Click on the ‘Show hidden filters’ (👁️🗨️) button and change the from and till date of the selection. By default, this is the selected month.
Download your INE XML file
Are there no errors anymore? Then you are able to download the XML file and upload it to the government.
Explanation of the data which is in the INE xml file
The ine file is based on the INE Stats website.
We build the data based on the XML/XSD for the data.
A part of this data is based on channels, a part on stays:
The channels are devided in 3 groups:
- OTROS for Backoffice bookings
- INTERNET for Online bookings
- TOUROPERADOR_ONLINE for all other channels
ADR and percentage occupancy
The ADR and percentage occupancy will be calculated based on the duration of the stays. This is calculated by day and in the end also added up over the entire period. The adr, the average daily rate is based on the price per booking divided by the length of the stay. It will make an avarage of the price per booking and will not take into consideration the actual rates on that day.
For example: If your rate table for a three day stay is as follows: first night €20,- second night €5,- third night €5,- the average per night will be €10,- This avarage of €10,- euro will be used in the calculation.
If you want to know more about the structure of the data you can visit the Ine Stats Website above.
Uploading the Document
To upload the XML file correctly to the Portal of the governement you can use this documentation from the website of INE. Upload to Ine portal this file is also attached to this document.
