How do I set up a computed rate?

After you’ve set up a rate, you might want to use the same rate for a different accommodation or channel, but make it a bit more expensive (or cheaper). This can be done with a computed/calculated rate.

Creating a computed rate

Go to Prices and select a rate you’ve created previously:

In that rate you’ll find an “Add computed rate” button on bottom left of your screen:

Then you’ll see an option to set a name for the computed rate and what the computed rate should be.
There are ways to compute a rate:
– A percentage: Fill in a positive number (e.g. 20) if you want to add a %, or a negative number (e.g. -20) if you want to reduce the price.
– A fixed price: Fill in a positive number (e.g. 20) if you want to add a price per day, or a negative number (e.g. -20) if you want to reduce the price per day.

After adding the rate, you’ll see the rate at the bottom of the original rate. Computed rates don’t show in the general price menu.

The computed rate will create an exact copy of the original rate, but only the nightly price will change.

Adding rates to other accommodations

On the top right in the rate overview, you’ll see an accommodation icon:

There you can select which accommodation(s) you want to activate the rate for:

Under the accommodation settings you can even set rate specific conditions to make sure the correct rates are used for the correct situations.

Adding rates for channels

In the appstore we have a number of apps that allow you to connect rates (including computed rates) to accommodations for certain channels.
All the rates (including computed rates) will be shown in the dropdown menu in the apps. This is the case for all channel manager apps, but here’s an example of CamperContact.
Simply select the rate you want to sue and click on the save button:
