What is a UBL invoice?

A UBL (Universal Business Language) invoice is a standardized, structured XML file for electronic invoicing that allows accounting systems to automatically read, process, and book invoice data.

The most commonly used UBL type is the Peppol BIS 3. We use the Peppol BIS 3 UBL2.1.

How do I send an invoice via the Peppol network?

The process of sending an invoice via the Peppol network is as follows:
The invoicing party (1) sends its invoice indirectly to the invoice recipient (4), using a service provider with a so-called access point (2) as a kind of “intermediate station.” This service provider checks and then sends the documents via the Peppol network to the invoice recipient’s access point (3), which in turn sends it to the invoice recipient (4).

Camping.care is not a Peppol certified service provider, we do not have an access point. We create the UBL invoices, which then will have to be send to a Peppol certified service provider. Your accountancy software could be a certified service provider, or you might have to use a seperate provider.
Please check with your accountancy software if they’re a Peppol certified service provider.
